	Desi Dating/Mating and Marriage No one that I know of anticipated the crisis that is now looming over our community. When they were growing up we were confident that with proper education and successful career our beautiful children would have no difficulty finding a suitable spouse whenever they were ready. They for the most part kept their end of the bargain. However we are not able to able to come up with even semi decent prospect for them who are willing to commit. Our community, by and large is behaving like a deer caught in the headlight. Some things have gone horribly wrong. Just as we say that "diabetes is a silent killer" - gives you few if any indication of something is wrong while damaging every system in the body for a long time. This inability of our next generation to find a suitable mate in time and make the transition to the next phase of life will severely damage our future. Unlike diabetes the solution (early detection and effective management) does not lie in a laboratory. It is time for our community to get a wake up call. Time to rid ourselves for those outdated concepts that are holding us back, time to think out of the box, time to stop blame game and look for what can be done. 	Swadhyay Aur Didi - Bhav-Nirzar Khalee Karo !!! Land lease that has expired on 2001 needs to be returned to the rightful owners of the land - people of India as demanded by Panjakbhai. A devout Swadhyayee for years - Pankajbhai Trivedi is brutally murdered in hands of other Swadhyayees. It was hoped that silencing Pankajbhai would make the questios go away. However, five years after his death more and more Swadhyayees are asking the questions. Didi might have avoided the questioning by Gujarat police by never going back to Gujarat in past five years but she is not able to shake the Pankajbhai from whereever she goes. Many other cases of physical violence and intimidation for asking any questions about financial mismanagement. 	Why Nobel Prize missed an opportunity to honour the great soul - Mahatma Gandhi I have never understoos why Bapoo never recieved the Nobel Peace prize. 	LAD Professional Convention First ever Lad Professional Convention will be held at The Grand Hyatt, New York, NY on July 27 & July 28, 2007. I will be addressing these professionals on July 28, 2007. Now, every other group like Jains, Telugu, Leuva Patel, Charotar Patel (you name it and they are doing it) have been meeting for decades or more now. Why the group that boasts Dhirubhai Ambani and Gandhiji as one of their own is so far behind is a mystery to me. I am going to try to find out. 	Dr. Ramnath - Medical Error or Criminal Act? Here is an unfortunate turn of events. Priya Ramnath, a junior resident is confronted with a patient in septic shock. She allegedly gave higher than prescribed dose of life saving medication. Now 10 years later she is put behind bar - away from her family and two young children, judge denies the bail - is this justice or intimidation. Once we make the medical errors a manslaughter would it turn away talented people from our profession.
