"Anyone that thinks that we can expect our youth to not date is living in a la la land and needs to have his or head examined. Human physiology tells us that it is normal to have strong attraction to opposite sex, after all that is what ovarian or testicular hormones are supposed to do.

What is wrong is that we as a community have been in a state of denial on this issue. Our youth have learned to go ahead and do it under ground. Since it is done underground, they have no support when they need help.

We have created a group of young people who are handicapped when it comes to relating to opposite sex. Underground dating has allowed them to go to physical union way before mental and spiritual union."
-Vijay Uncle

One of the many examples of that among Desi Youth is shown below....If that isnt disturbing than I dont know what is...No wonder women and men treat each other with disrespect and everyone dating one another to get some satisfaction.

The qoute is right, you can't expect desi youth to not notice girl/boys and to be refrained from dating or the hormones. That's why they do it underground cause they are afraid and sadly when an issue arises in the underground these youth are helpless to ask for help from their parents or an adult fear of being kicked out or punished.
As the American society has images of physical beauty of both genders and many people date and all. TV and music videoes and such does influence here in the western countries. So the pressures and hormones does make people do stuff underground.
More people than one may think.
Sadly it demonstrates the lack of communication among these youth and their mum and dad.

Hopefully more people communicate and all.

As a girl in in my teens....I think the times have changed so fast for the boys and girls in teenage age now and the ones who are in their twenties that were teens way back...the teens way back did not have all this sexual related images or behaviors constanlty been reminded through media. Less of that was shown...but slowly the attitudes have changed....

you now see people showing off their cleavage and booty for people to view like my age 15 and show that kinda side where those people want attention and get confident through that...and that's wat media give a msg it;s ok to show some booty cutie...are its ok...to take it off....
or fellas like to see some skin....and u know they will come to you.....pack of boys coming to the pretty one the sexy one....

i remember my cousins when they were teens, like in 90's..they wore nice jeans and tee and the girls that time werent all about makeup and fashion...cause that wasnt really what the times demanded and it didnt turn it what fashion is today....short shorts, binkini's, tops, and all.....today;s time and the ones while back is so different...even two yrs ago threns changed....it;s all about fitting in and the thrend......ffty cent let say videos of women in thong only and top wraped with a small towel....hey, this is ok...and ppl think fifty doing it...and showng it off....so it aint nothing wrong....
ppl praise it and asks for something sexual....and if media glorifies...and the the ppl behind the media will follow....few ppl like to be different...or not with the crowd....or independent....the followers think if society displays it...its maybe be wrong but whocares...or it;s all good....

while the teens now, live through we live so much pressure of school, fashion and all.....it's forcing us to grow up...into not maturity but to become more sexy or like wat media glorifies....if u aint like them than u uncool or ugly...aint trendy....and dont expect ppl to see u or coome to u..to be friends or more...

as a girl, im average....i dont get look at twice or anything by guys...cuz i cover myself up and i dont try to act sexy or hardcore....saying i have candy tasting lips or something....for girl that profile pic..being in bikini...showing her fully figure...of course guys gonna look...GUYS will look at her and get a glance regardless if he's 24 or 17 years old....they will look at her...and have some feedback going in their minds...

.... these young guys will have sexual satisfaction of seeing her wearing bikini and top and all....whther they have girl friends or not....they will absorb the image of display and reply a video inside their heads...

they are gonna say some sexual comments or rude comments to her....added to that , this girl is gonna be played and be used up as an object than a person...
she's can be showing off her body...but she's gonna be those many kinda girls that expect to be pampered by guys and for everyone to respect her based on her looks....she's gonna get confident through guys saying sexual comments....but she's gonna turn out a real weak woman...that cant respect her body and added they over look at her as a person....this girl is worried about her sexual needs and looks than worrying about her goals in life or trying to be a stronger girl through education and values...
the ppl she's surrounding herelf with are poor people that are disrespectful and want some piece of her....

I was watching one time switching channels on tv and Ms. Oprah Winfrey...on ABC had a show related to woman and their role in society and how they are pressured into social or media traps....
Ms. Winfrey a remarkable woman and anyperson that watches her show...and be changed better or stronger and more educated....
Beleive me....cause she was use ur talents and all for the greater good....

she does that and have postive shows on hardest issues on life...
Her show that day had woman and she said after the show that woman have been washed into society pressures...and that woman no matter how much info or programs about anorexia, fighting against date rape and all.....there;s just too many women who are more interested in fitting in than changing for the better....

this girl on the profile is one of the many girls or women that are weak....
u can go to a white site or black site or asian and find all this being displayed....skin showing, air head beauties, that want playaz to glance them....
Oprah goes no wonder many women are still being raped or have long ways to go to fight gender discrimination and all.....

majority women are weak because Oprah said we yet to make dramatic changes in society...how they view women...if more women were educated and stood up...
if more people did than fifty cent videoes would probaby wont have all that sexual related images....or women in his videoes....

She concluded that sadly women are so much behind and will have to work with strength to over barriers....
At this time, it doesnt look promising when women sexual image is highly regarded.....its gonna be hard to turn back....

i also think that the desi girl that are in their twenties are poor role models because they too do similar things like date, show cleavage, drink, hang with guys that my age girls do....
they see older girls all glamed up and having bf that it gives a msg that this is wat we do ...and wat we will be doing older....
alot of the people in twenties are forbidden to date or drink but yet they underground...and we lilttle girls know that and majority want to follow...

added to that the media displaying sexual image and all....it gotten into our heads of this wat society wants us to display or be like....young or old....

i think with with all these combined....i think girl or women will be treated second class....but worse than 1920"s or 70's ..
or something...

these days when u called a B^T%$ it's like slang to refer girls, good or bad.....
but i guess in 70's you hardly heard that lang used...and it was considered offensive....
now in our time...used like it has a good meaning....

This is what Oprah is shaking her head with no...

Women are treated worse than before...and I bet the late women who fought for women's rights are disappointed to her that GIrl Power is replaced Weakness...and Corrpution....
