I was so happy to receive the following email from Ajay Anand, Social Chair for Delta Epsilon Psi at UT Austin. I am sure that with proper awareness we can control some of the behavior at our parties. We can have fun and be responsible too! I ask other organization to post their plans to deal with this issue. Thank you. - Vijay Uncle
Dr. Mehta -
My name is Ajay Anand, a student here at UT and a member of Delta Epsilon Psi. I am the social chair for the frat and I am aware of the forum on your website pertaining to organizers doing something different with security at our parties.
I am throwing a back to school party on August 28th at Buffalo Billiards on 6th street for Delta Epsilon Psi. I plan on having this event be extremely safe and huge at the same time, a task that is not easily completed. I have noticed that in order to ensure the maximum amount of protection for all of our people, we see the need to sacrifice the size of the party by around a hundred people where we take a $700 cut. I just wanted to let you know about this, so you can know that we are taking steps towards improving the protection at our parties, and we are all keeping our eyes open to make sure that noone is too drunk, noone gets too rowdy, and everyone is treated with respect.
I wanted to thank you for your help in making this community safer for my sisters and your support for us is always appreciated.

Dear Ajay and Entire Delta Epsilon Psi brotherhood,
Thank you very much for addressing this issue. Even though your bottom line is going to be $ 700 short, your true goal to promote friendship and fun will be achieved better by your proactive steps. Congratulations on leading the way. - Vijay Uncle
